Chambers Bay hosted the 2015 U.S. Open won by Jordan Spieth. It was the first U.S. Open played in the Pacific Northwest and was completely different from the classic U.S.Open tree lined course with high rough and glassy fast greens. Chambers Bay presented huge elevation changes, massive dunes, and stunning topography with
beautiful views of Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier. Unfortunately, the USGA’s zeal to make the course difficult resulted in burned out fairways and crusty greens that negatively impacted the course’s reputation. But as can be seen by this picture, this is a truly stunning course that should be on everyone’s bucket list.
